Aquaman and Mera - Dragon Con Night at the Aquarium 2013
I got our first batch of pictures back from Dim Horizon!
Mera - me
Aquaman - Allen
Photography - Matthew Nicholson
I made all of my Mera costume, styled Aquaman’s wig, and made the spandex garments for Aquaman. Allen did the work for his gloves, A, and trident.

Dragon Con video by Ejen of Cosplay in America. Myself and Allen are featured along with other local cosplayers such as God Save the Queen Fashions, Fev, Volpin, and Yaya. Footage from this year’s Superhero Costuming Forum DC Universe shoot is also used, and you get to see Beat Down Boogie in action for their filming process.
So this is what our Dragon Con was like.
Dragon Con Cosplay Plans!
Friday: no costume, but I’ll be wearing my Star Trek Enterprise print dress I made and maybe some other similar things.
Saturday: Donna Troy for my Donnas and the DC photo shoot. Mera that evening to wear with Aquaman to shoot with Dim Horizon and attend the aquarium event.
Sunday: Mera and Aquaman again early in the day to shoot with SGH PhotoArt. Spider-Woman for the Marvel shoot.
Monday: no costume.
10 months. 12 cities. 1,000 + cosplayers. A behind-the-scenes look at cosplay in America.
There’s a few more days left to help Ejen fund his next cosplay book! Take a look at his Kickstarter to see if you’d like to be a backer. I think this book will be a nice inclusive look into the cosplay scene.
I recently remade my Donna bracers, again, and added a bunch of rhinestones to my starfield suit. I got this done in time to shoot with Bryan Humphrey for a trial run of his new convention backdrop.
I had a great time out at Superhero Day at the Fern bank Museum here in Atlanta with my Heroes Alliance buddies! I especially had fun being Spiders with Dustin, crawling up to kids wearing superhero outfits and spider-bombing pictures. :)

HeroesCon 2013 was a blast! I had a great time hanging out with my friends at the con and meeting new friends! I’m already looking forward to next year’s convention. I’ve got more pictures and a better report at my site.
